Finally finished swapping an Explorer 8.8 rear end in my 68 Dart. This is a full length axle (no shortening). I think it came out beautifully and I love the stance.

I’ve put around 60-80 miles on the shaft and 4 passes down the strip. No vibrations of any kind. I took 1 degree out of the pinion angle to account for the additional side angle.Awesome video thanks for posting! Does having the driveshaft angled more than stock negatively effect anything?
I cut it. Mainly because my quarters are super rusty anyways. I’ll roll the lips on the new quarters when I get them. It’s only an obstacle with the 9” wide wheels and 10” wide tires. Standard mustang wheels would clear with ease.Did you roll the inner lip in? Mighty close to that outside edge. Nice job, though!
