Just found out we have a few white deer in our park. They are not albino.

They will not last long, not unless the predators have been removed, they can not hide from dogs, coyotes and such, witch we have a bunch of here in northeast Arkansas (coyotes)

That looks super fake?????

It's not, we have them here too. I have seen several over the years, a couple of them were true albino deer with the pink eyes.

Most of what we see are referred to as Piebald deer. I have seen mixes of brown and white that resemble patterns on Holstein cows.

Oh how I would love to see one of these in season!
White meat deer?
I would have to full mount (taxidermy) a white deer.
We have the occasional white deer in Colorado.
We also have white elk but have never seen a full white elk.

Here's one I took on my way home from work a couple years ago. Notice the rings around the bases of it's ears. This was a "pie bald" not an albino. Perfect winter camouflage

Not all white deer are true albino which is a lack of pigment Those deer have pink eyes and noses and almost clear looking hooves. This one snapped behind my work was a true albino.

We've seen these for decades. The fence was well maintained, with the brush kept cleared away. That made them easy to see under the right conditions. That's not true anymore, and this enclave of white deer could be lost.

We've had a few down here in Clermont Co. near the Ohio River and Eastfork Lake area as well.

This photo was taken about 10 seconds before my buddy shot and killed it. No matter what they look like on the outside, they all taste the same wonderful.

I have a friend with one mounted. They are called piebald deer. They come in many different colors with the main color being white. His is "backwards" colored. The main color is white and it has brown spots. They're pretty cool.

I have only ever seen white tails in albino and piebald.
Does anyone know if Coues deer or Mule deer have the albino trait? Pics?

Piebald and white deer is a trait of severe inbreeding. It's very common on deer farms.
