Any recommendations?
No clue, but something cheap and takes up no time. When I was young I’d buy model cars, put them together, paint them, then stick firecrackers in them, light it then roll them across the floor. Drove mom nuts but I didn’t get into trouble. I bought the cars with MY paper route money. Had my own junk yard where the pieces of cars went.

Sorry for the long wait I've been under the weather some. I've been using the panel line black to bring out the details. This is a slow process. Next will be some stress and dirt at the ports. Maybe some lite rust here or there .

Looking good so far. Have you ever done any dry brushing after the wash has dried to bring the highlights out?

Yes on my junker car builds that's how I rust them. I have the rest of the gold and there is some crimson details I need to put in . After that comes dry brushing so it don't stand out and look so toyish.

There is no rust in space.....I'm building a 395 piece Imperial light cruiser. It's cardboard and sort of just fits together with a few glue joints. We got it for Christmas and me and the little guy have been working on it off and on for 6 months! He finds the pieces and punches them out and I try and fit them together. About 90% of the pieces are perfect fits, a few are not and 1 was not cut right. The cruiser as about 22" long!
