I've worked the new stainless brake tube fittings long enough, with persisting leaks FABO comes through again : flared copper seals, new to me!,landed today. I also ordered 5/16" to revive my old school ( new)dual feed set up that leaked. Steering column removed so I can get to the P valve, had a slightly different u- joint seal/ cap ready for a shot at a better crimp, I think I got this one from Detroit Muscle. The seal has some tabs in key locations that help keep it positioned. It worked out better than the unit sent with the Borgeson box. Thanks to all!

That's pretty smart on the steering coupler. I put a all one piece quick boot on mine so there's none of that metal bracket bullcrap.

Man I don't remember. I have been lookin ever since you asked this and I cannot remember. I emailed Peter first and sho nuff, like you said, he didn't have them. Then I started looking and found somewhere that had them. I cannot remember who it was. I'm still lookin so don't give up.

Appreciate it !

Before Peter could tell me the wire retainer won't work on his coupler ( longer) I had one ordered so it's in my Land of Misfits parts box. I was a gnats *** away from tacking that cover on, then decided on a moral victory with a home grown bailing wire strap. It ain't helping much, looks ridiculous but it felt good to do something. The previous seal was squirted out and actually touching the header.

Laying in bed last night figuring out how to center the flare washer in a vertical fitting. I did a couple test fits on an easy horizontal fitting. With finger tightening only it seems the tube flare can center the washer seal if it is slightly off center but not if the washer has fallen all the way to one side. I used a daub of grease thinking maybe it would hang there no luck. Am I over thinking this? Im pretty sure a washer can block the line if off center. I just had a thought, I'll bet the 5/16" seals landing today for the fuel leak will center better in the larger 7/16" nut P valve holes but the center hole in the flare washer may be outside of the tube flares seal range? Any tips sure would be appreciated

2 days ago I spent about 4 hours under the car to hopefully eliminate all brake tube fitting leaks. I lapped all of the SS tube flares, and installed the copper flare seals. Some bores at P valve have the larger nut/ bore size so I used a dab of super glue to hold the flare seal on to the tube flare, worked well, no leaks yesterday and in about 40 minutes of bleeding I had good pedal. I didn't have a helper so I used the bottle of fluid/hose method. Knowing more about SS tubing now, I had the SS Tubes carb dual feed length corrected. Hal at Az. Tube and Hose made the 2 ends the correct length, SS Tubes work was 1/4" short between carb inlets, this is why they never centered or seated. Maybe fuel line in today and then it's test drive time.

Where do you get the copper seals. I have stainless brake lines as well & before I get to the point of having leaks all over, I'd like to save myself from the anger and frustration of having to order something else...then wait.

I found some on Amazon and I think E Bay, in both cases the seals ultimately came from Grainger.
