Stock Wheel Width for '75 Swinger

Can anyone tell me what the stock wheel size this car (1975 Swinger) would have come with. They are 14", but I don't know the width. Thanks!

If you can measure the outside where lead weights sit to same on inside. That will get you a number that will be close enough to determin if they are 5.5 or 4.5.

Any tire store has a caliper to measure such


I'm betting 5.5 as well

I saw somewhere that some of the steel wheels had the dimensions stamped into the outside of the wheel near the air stem

Nope. 14x5.5 with or without front disc brakes. The disc brake wheel was a different number though. 3621951 and 3683970 for the disc brake cars.
 
Measure them. There is a gap between the rim and the center. Go outside lip to outside lip and subtract 1”

I’d bet on 5” wide.

Not how it's done. This is how its measured.

They were either 4.5 or 5.5 No 5" wide wheels. As you can see by the chart.

Yes that’s how its done, son.

hard to measure the bead with a tire on the rim. So measure outside the wheel lips and subtract 1”

And without one of these you will have a tough time measuring them anyway.

14"x5.5" but guys will measure outside and say 6" and fight over it.
