I recently pulled the trans out of my 64. I used a 2 x 6 x 57" long piece of wood. A 2 x 4 would be strong enough but I happened to have this on hand.

The rest of the hardware I bought at TSC for under $10. The turnbuckle makes it easy to adjust the angle of the bellhousing face until the oil pan bottoms out on the crosslink.

Should have used a 4x4 or two 2x4 stacked and nailed then on side as the flat side is not the strength side… Rednecks…:poke:
