Hi guys , my 1969 valiant 100 was born with small bolt patern 4" , it must be exactly the same for a 70 duster, i am better off buying the front and rear suspension ( differential etc ) of a 73-76 duster or work with what i have already and swap good disc brakes on a 4" bolt pattern , my car was born with a 8 3/4 and its still on it
 
My '71 Dart GT was born with the small bolt pattern 8 3/4", 3.23:1, sure-grip, 741 rear-end. It also had drum brakes all around (10" spindles up front). With that said, I opted for ssbc-usa.com front disc brake kit. This kit was pricey, but it allowed me to keep my Rallye wheels and to carry only 1 spare tire. I have added 15" X 7" WheelVintiques Rallye wheels on the rear.

As a side note, the factory 14" X 5 1/2" steel wheels did NOT fit on my car.
 
I know wilwood offers a front disk brake kit that has dual bolt pattern (5x4" and 5x4.5") that should bolt on to your existing hubs... not cheap but might be easiest option on the market. Good thing is that if one day you decide to change your BP for better rim selection, it's as easy as moving the studs.
I have personally tried up upgrade everything with "factory" parts (aka parts that I can easily find at any parts store) because I don't have much trust in the aftermarket. I don't want to feel stuck if one day they decide that their stuff is outdated and they discontinue everything and now I'm left having to re-do my entire brake system again.
IMO, your best bet is to decide your power/performance goals for the car and give Dr.Diff a call to figure out an appropriate system for you.
 
Up grade to the 73 and up factory parts and you can get replacement parts anywhere and for less money. No adapters or special order stuff. Sell your old stuff to help offset the cost. Money ahead.
 
I forgot to mention
I upgraded to 73+ front disks and then got the larger caliper brackets to run 11.75" rotors. I have a power booster and the stopping power is excellent. This would be the equivalent to Dr.Diffs stage 2 kit and is more than enough stopping performance for what I want.
If I did it all over again I would likely eliminate the booster and run a 15/16ths inch MC on the same brakes but that is just me

ok so if i get this right , i can install that on my 69 valiant and its a bolt on thing ? and im into a larger disc that fits a 15 inch steel wheel and 4.5 bolt pattern right ? that would be amazing , my duster was a disc brake car and my cuda too...never did the a body swap honestly

Yes, exactly.

If you want to keep your small ball joint UCA's, you will need ball joint adaptors. I also recommend adding a combination valve to replace the distribution block. You can select all of those options right from DoctorDiff.
 
I saw an article that used Ford mustang Kelsey Hayes 4.5" bolt pattern front rotors and the calipers? and that's where I forget what else was done. I think they used all the Ford parts on the factory Dodge spindles not sure about caliper mount though.
 
I’m curious, has anybody sheered their 5 on 4” wheel studs off? I’ve never seen it myself. In my younger days (1980s) I beat the tar out of my convertible that has 4” Kelsey Hayes and blew a couple of diffs apart but never sheered wheel studs.
