The lever you have is from a Hurst Competition Plus. The one in the picture is a Hurst, but is called a bayonet. They do not interchange. You need all of the rest of the Competition Plus. If you drill holes in the bayonet mechanism, you are ruining an expensive stock shifter mechanism.
