My "good" helmet is a Jackson Next Gen. Almost 20 years old, but has LCD screen with many adjustments for darkness, time delay on, brazing, etc. I am going to bring it home from work and see if it changes things.
You only have one set of eyes and one brain box. Cheap welding hoods are not good. And good welding hoods are not cheap. I gotta beer says the cheap hood is root cause.
