to be bare of pistons and rods to be sonic checked and what is a 400 "230" short block worth?

The 230 is thicker than 90% of the builds need it to be. I know of one that was a poor casting from a few years ago and the guy passed on it as it was going to be a bracket motor, and the fat webs were no good with a thin wall on number #7. Any 400 block will handle a ton of power if the cylinders check out good.
$1000.00 is the going rate if it checks out ok. Kim
