Getting closer for 9’s

Well, what about when you buy a new helmet, wear it maybe three times, and then the rule changes, and your NEW, perfectly good helmet becomes garage art after six months? Goodbye $300. It's happened to me.
I may be wrong but I think a helmet is good for ten years , but I don't know how the rating and length of service is factored ,my old helmet was a Snell 2010 and I had to purchase a Snell 2015 0r 2020 I purchased the later. I have been racing a long time and have quite a selection of old helmets and belts that there is really nothing wrong with. Another thing NHRA recently said that new cars with no mods can go quicker than 11.49 with no aftermarket belts or roll bar i.e, new Mustang, Challenger, Camaro, Vette etc. but I don't know the cut off e.t. or speed to which they are required to have the safety equipment.
