FYI, on Wednesday NHRA announced a schedule change for the first four races of the 2023 Camping World season.
The 2023 season will open with the Gatornationals in Florida.
The first four races of the 2023 season are:

* March 9-12 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals
* March 24-26 NHRA Arizona Nationals
* March 30-April 2 Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals
* April 14-16 NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip in Las Vegas

NHRA says this is not a permanent change to the traditional schedule, but is meant "to provide more efficient routing and travel plans for the race teams."

Mile-High Nationals picks:

TF - Brittany Force
FC - Robert Hight
PS - Erica Enders
PSM - Angelle Sampey

End of March for the Winternationals should eliminate those scenic photos of the burn out box with the snow on the San Gabriels in the background :soapbox: :BangHead:

Not necessarily...we've been known to get significant snowfall in the local mountains (San Gabriels) through April.
My parents had a weekend replace in Crestline and the first year they owned it we spent Easter week up there because it started snowing the Sunday before Easter and didn't stop until the following Wednesday. We had a total of 4-feet of snow out of that storm. I was in Jr. high (middle school) at the time but still remember it very well because we ran out of food on Thursday and didn't see a snow plow until 2 days later.

I was a little surprised to see the Arizona Nationals on the schedule. I thought last years race was supposed to be the last one. I will be there for that one.

Yeah, our coastal mountains are kinda hard to predict  . I was working in Glendale and it was a nasty rainy day, I had made plans to go to Snow Summit that night on the way home to the desert to go skiing with my homies. Had to chain up on the San Berdoo side of the mountain. I'm thinkin' "Coool! Fresh snow!". Snow Summit parking lot is dark when I get there :wtf:. We skiied Snow Summit at night 2 nights per week some winters, cheaper lift tickets, no huge crowds, only made sense. I walk over to the ski patrol office "Oh, we're closed tonight. Too much snow to run the ski lifts." :BangHead: Went back to the parking lot took off my chains and never saw another flake on the way back to the desert .

Sorry for the delay in posting Mile-High Nationals results. The nhra.com website showed an incorrect Funny Car ladder but I found the correct results elsewhere yesterday. I should be able to post the results later after work tonight.

Here's your Tuesday before the event reminder to post your picks for the 2022 Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals, the middle race of the Western Swing and the second of three consecutive weekends of racing.
Here we go, a bit over 1200 miles west and just over a mile down to the almost sea-level altitude at Sonoma. The air is going to be a LOT better than on the mountain!
The first of three Pro qualifying sessions starts Friday, July 22, at 9:30PM EDT (6:30PM PDT).
Unfortunately, Friday qualifying won't be on TV (FS1) until Saturday at 10:30AM EDT (7:30AM PDT).
Saturday qualifying won't be on TV (FS1) until Sunday at 1:30PM EDT (10:30AM PDT).
Final eliminations will be televised Sunday on FOX at 4:00PM EDT (1:00PM PDT). FOX will be going head-to-head with the NASCAR television coverage starting at Noon on USA.

Unfortunately, it appears that current high fuel costs continue to impact the number of professional class entries but the numbers are slightly better this week.
The nhra.com website currently shows the following number of entries:
17 Top Fuel
16 Funny Car
16 Pro Stock
14 Pro Stock Motorcycle

Always check to confirm your picks are participating. You may also possibly find either new drivers or old favorites competing.

Post your picks if you haven't already.
