What budget torque converter?

Just another plug for Dynamic converters. Picked up 4 tenths over a re-stalled factory converter. That was going to an 8” though, which I don’t recommend for street. Just giving a frame of reference. Hard to do that for $900 without nitrous, AND without the potential for the engine damage.

Most important thing will be to give the details of your entire combination to the company you end up going with. Converters behave VERY different from one setup to another. An off the shelf converter will give you off the shelf performance, ie generic. It MAY end up better than what you have, but won’t be optimized. If you’re okay with that then proceed at your risk.

There’s two ways to do things - right, and over. A lot of people are trying to steer you toward the former of the two because we’ve already done the latter and wish we would have listened ourselves. My best to you on your endeavor.
