It just occurred to me I have a '69 Mach 1 kit. I plan to build it like a good friends car back in the day. Well, as close as I can. He had a base model Mach 1 with a 351W- 2V, flat hood, and single exhaust. For many years I wondered if someone had just added the emblems but found out it was indeed an available car.

I will. Right now I cleared the table and I'm concentrating on the Valiant. I did manage to finish a Corvair replica of another good friends car. Need to dig my camera out and get some pics of it. Pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Went down and piddled on the Valiant a little bit and pulled the Mustang kit while I was there. I'll have to use the stock scoop as there is no way I could duplicate those body lines and close the hole. :( Oh well, it'll probably have dual exhaust also. :)
Do you have a gasser front axle for yours? Mine actually has one included but nothing in the instructions for using it, not that I would anyway. If you need it, I still have your address.

Thanks but I'll just put the scoop on it. No one but me will know it didn't actually have one. Thanks though.

His rear view mirror will be useless with that stance

Mount the rearview mirror 'upside down' with the post glued to the dashboard. The '59 Plymouth Fury my mom had when I was growing up had the rearview mirror mounted on the dashboard.

you'll need a step ladder to prime the injectors if that was a real car. I like the opening deck lid and steelies. Nice work!

I have one of you fellers airplane model I picked up a couple years ago. I would be into have a stockish 69 mach 1 if you had one in your stash to part with.

A quick Google search brings up several with one at $19 plus $8 shipping on Mercari.com (never heard of that place though) but with several known hobby shops having them also.
