Post Your Vintage Drag Racing Pics!!

I'm at my AZ place at the moment, so I don't know. If it is raining, we might get it tomorrow. It would sure be welcome here. 115° tends to dry stuff out.

What part of AZ? My GF is from the Payson area, although she is here in WI for now

Not really vintage.... but it's what I have:

Tri state. Five miles one way, california, five miles the other, Nevada. Nevada gasoline higher by a buck, california gas, two bucks higher.....

Bullhead City area? We used to drag the boats to Katherine's Landing for fun weekends. My Dad built a place in Bullhead after he retired.

I'm in my photo file so I might as well post up some more. Ron Jenison. He had a fleet of fun drag cars.

Ron bought a old Pro Stock Arrow, brought it to his radiator shop, copied it to the letter, and sold the car. You see his copy here.

5.90 on the window. That's 9.20's in the 1/4. That would be a fun ride.

Mine is too. Love the GT, with the Kadett in the other lane.

I went to school at the GM training center to work on Buicks in '72. Part of that training was for Opel GTs and Kadetts cause the dealerships were selling them then. Brings back memories. I still have the factory service manuals. Those cars in the pictures aren't anything like I worked on back then.

Our trip to Union Grove is out. Rain and thunderstorms likely. Projecting high winds and hail with some. It is 2 hour drive each way, so not going. The more local track has a wheelie stander and some jet cars along with normal racing..different forecast for 1 hour north of here. Maybe??

I tell everybody I drive a hybrid....
Chevy engine, Ford rear, Buick body, designed in France, built in Germany. If that ain't a hybrid....?
