Stop in for a cup of coffee

I hired a guy... plan B was an electric, stairclimbing hand truck.

It was worth it to get someone who had the correct equipment

Be safe with those things.
I wish I knew “a guy” ! I would sure pay to have them moved. Both of them are right at 1,000 pounds MT. And they are darn sure MT, I got safe junk scattered all over the shop! On plus side I found independent head gear for my NODs! Once you attach to your lid you never use it again. Been missing for years! And I found a bunch of two dollar bills that had also been missing, plus old passports, you name it it was in there. Jeez what a pack rat!

I can use a head counnt. Going to start around 3 pm I guess since it gets dark late. BRING CHAIRS!

My hound is out, my buddy came over yesterday with his two German Shepard’s that are only two years old. They romped and chased each other all afternoon, it was hilarious. Hemi is plumb wore out this morning, at eleven years old she had the heart to go all day but just didn’t have the wheels. Sounds very familiar!

Swapped out the leaking Park cable on my 904 Torqueflite....

Is it "normal" for transmission fluid loss to occur when you remove the housing cover lower plug?

Tech manual had no instruction calling for a catch can or anything.

That’s cause the tech manual was written for ‘techs’ that are supposed to know that stuff! :poke:
(I have no idea)

Ya, pretty much anything you remove from the transmission that has internal parts will dribble some ATF except the vent on top of the case! :poke::lol:

That seems excessive. Maybe too much in there?
Not really. The cable is long enough when combined with the housing, to hold a pint. Now if we’re talking quarts, different story

That **** goes everywhere!
Yes but in this case, it’s actually by design. It’s what keeps the stainless cables from binding inside that bundle. And depending on what year he has, he may have the dual pump trans too.

speaking of which, @WV64Signet pay very special attention to what filter you put in the trans. MOST auto parts stores do not stock or carry the correct one. The wrong one will fit, but blocks off one of the galleys. And you WILL burn up the trans that way very quickly.

you HAVE to not only get the filter for the push button that has the extra hole for that galley, but make sure it matches the year of the trans due to the different sized galley’s

Another day on this big ball, temps are going to be 9 to 12 degrees cooler today, it's been very hot and dry here for all the farmers.

Thought I better post in here today, sounds like Hoppy may have a front porch full on the forth.

Enjoy this day, I hope to.

Very cool safety tip. Thanks Chris

For what it’s worth, the ONLY place I’ve found that has consistently carried the correct filters by trans and year, believe or not, is Rock Auto. They also happen to be the cheapest.
