Ok so was beginning to think I had other issues. Tell em Carl....it ain't got gas. See Vince it's always the simple ****. Clue obviously was empty float bowl glass. I thought the gauge does not work. No it's pretty accurate LMAO. If we can't laugh at ourselves what's the point. Anyways 50 dollars later I got about 5 gallons in it maybe less but the gauge is moving. I may go with the kit put one resto tip pal suggest to auto correct but at least the new sending unit does something. Rest of the liquid gold is for mowing the lawn!

More coats primer and I managed to get Pro Form installed. Couple hoses to do and bleed the brakes. Need to do the Lokar kickdown cable still. Plan to get alignment soon and maybe trans shop for that cable want it done right. Need to buy the paint make a plan for the final push and enjoy on road a bit.

You can do that cable without a shop. BUT a Helper for a few minutes would make it easier. Here's the Deal, they Are adjustable, almost infinitely. Unless You know a Guy, or Shop Owner, You ARE GONNA waste money... are they going to charge you hourly when you spin it around the block and don't like the shift points and you want to keep tweaking it or they just going to put it on and then give it back to you, and then you can adjust to get home as what most everybody does? Not being Negative, just trying to help! Today ain't hard it might seem a little silly at first but if you can throw a cable on a bicycle you can throw one of them on man

My fear is getting it on right and of course there is no room. Lol things I would do differently put the column shifter linkage on first and kickdown cable before I put the new headers on. But I didn't plan on the new carb or the linkage. Same for the brake distribution block. Headers sure don't give you alot of room.

There are some good threads here bout it. I did mine using the supplied instructions, However MANY say the Bouchillon is way better... I dunno, maybe next time. Oh Wait, next time will be Manual VB, lol

Managed to get a coat of primer on today once I wet sand again and fix little pinholes I'm pretty happy. Considering where the car was I started with and crazy Arizona's yearly car. Can you tell I'm jealous lol. Site has been a great help again I appreciate the feedback it means a lot.

Managed to get outside check fit taillights marker lights installed bulbs checked all lights good to go. I need to get a new piece for the blinkers no flash. Simple fix and need to get fuse box mounted in stock location not sure where it was supposed to go Dart or Duster 74. I'm going to change wheel choice keep stock front wheel modern tires 15 and go 15 x 8 1/2 back wheelvintiques brand Rallye wheel.

So found my leak radiator figures well going aluminum now pin hole top tank. This why I'm holding off paint for now this little crap. Once it's all shook out I. I can pull engine and get bay cleaned paint while being rebuilt. I still have not found a local guy here in Oklahoma Bartlesville or Tulsa area for rebuild. I'm not using some guy in Coffeeville that's to far. Timing is set running great no miss fire now and like I read and was shocked she settled at 20deg advance wow but sounds great no pinging. No coughing or backfire starts right up. Boy does this little 360 bark 408 is going to be alot fun!

I can recommend a friend in Wagoner. His name is Randy Catlett; he is RETIRED Kick Boxing Champeeeeen u'da woild! He is about as meticulous with his work as anybody. At least you could talk with him. PM me if interested in contact info.

So I managed to change my mind again. Like my wife with a purse lol. I took my scoop not made for a beak nose car and made it one. Nothing like cutting up a perfectly good scoop in half. Covered the hood up and glass and putty. Now to clean up a bit, it will be body color not black. Also got hood hole cut it's functional now. Why not it had holes anyways I placed scoop where factory did when it was an option earlier years. Got a proper air cleaner and when new intake takes over will sit up higher. I may make the hole more diamond shaped I'm concerned about water. I have no intention of ever driving in any water!

Onto the next thing so cruising around a bit one noise left front wheel caliper or pad noise. I will also check wheel bearing some appears to rub maybe with wheel no external metal evidence. I have checked it all torqued and together as it came apart triple checked it. I may pull off the wheel and caliper pull the bearings check and grease them again both sides. Other item timing seems off again well no backfire just seems like it's weak won't down shift and get in it when hammered down. One minute it will go off shock you next it's tamed down no knocking no noise from a bad chain or timing gear. Wires I checked them all made sure not wires shorted or loose. Puzzling problem. Yes it has good gas premium no ethanol. New plugs new wires new cap. I have not ordered FBO yet I know the ignition or distributor could cause this. I Need advice please really frustrating I want to do oil pan deeper one and the pick up and deep trans pan and drive the car before summer ends a bit. So I can work these things out so when I paint fall this stuff is not in the forefront dragging me down. Not giving up I'm good just irked one minute it's sideways lay ten feet rubber me holy crap then it's gone again sigh.

Ok engine issue fixed seems my distributor was walking a bit cleaned it all up new bolt and lock washer fixed staying put now. However if I didn't have good luck then you get the bad for the love of gawd! Brand new shock broken drivers side are you freaking kidding me! Found the noise right front wheel bearings replaced and new seals I used the good stuff not sure what the hell was there they were new and greased well no more noise. Who's yellow Dart is this lives three blocks away he has a monster next to it another Mopar killer drag car covered up. Took the wife for a joy ride when I found out about shock figures. Scared her *** real good LMAO she said ok wow it moves. No longer the turd in the garage she said.

Finished last part of snorkel scoop and I'm digging how cutting it half helped with beak nose hood. Got the drop I wanted and got alot of on it today. To hot to do much more right now I should be able to get jams, doors, hood and trunk lid painted soon. Starting to run and drive like a car I would want to drive. Obviously cars sitting for years is terrible for them. New parts don't change tuning and getting things set right of course. Went all over car looking for pinholes and such very little found. Can't wait for this heat to let up unbearable.

Got back out bolted down the scoop I need to cut out the two middle pieces in support of for scoop on each side then done. Hopefully it cools off soon so I can start painting again. Kind of annoyed with hot weather here Oklahoma, it does get very cold here and I'm ready for fall again!

Found a reputable place in Tulsa to rebuild my engine.
The Plan
KB107 pistons std bore KB107KTM-STD
Comp cam K20 224-4 grind CRS XE274H-10
J Heads add 2.02 intake valves cam is a kit has the new lifters and springs and such.
Balance
Need to get an new oil pan NY East coast did a number on it little rust not chancing it and new deep trans pan.

If all goes as planned I will be way better and below my budget I was planning for. End of the day I want to drive the car and I want to be able to cruise to Tulsa and back and have fun. This is my first car and it was a starter. I have a car someday that will replace the Dart. That's an E body Plymouth of course.

While apart I can paint engine bay jams doors and car and not worry. Be ready to roll when it comes back.

Little birdie told me the KB107s are bad news guess I will go for a better flat top or valve relief piston.

Looks,great with the scoop.
Good move on the trans pan.
The Summit pan is less money and to me just as good.
I have one of each. The B&M has more ribs and is slightly thicker. I have pics of the B&M as I polished it.

Looks great! Hopefully that scoop does not crack on you in the middle. Had one crack on me, but it was in a different location.
