NHL Playoffs 2022

We have almost thirty rinks in winter. During summer we only have about a dozen!

We have 2... summer or winter .
And there is a small resevoir on the outskirts of town we can get a few weeks of pond hockey out of if the stars are aligned .

I grew up in Minnetonka MN. We had 30 outdoor rinks within 20 miles and probly around 8 indoors. This was the 70s.

Minnetonka? No way? I have many hours/days on that lake! Pull your boat right up to the restaurant! That is One big honking lake!

Kuemper is the week link here but this is the best the Bolts have played so far . Well deserved win .

Thought my Avs would take it tonight, Bolts played tough. Last penalty really hurt the Avs.

TB found a way to win in the Av's house.
That's good for momentum for them.
"Just" gotta win 2 more, one in Co.

Good game.

Fair amount of talk about the no call too many men in game 4.
I didn't notice it, but the replays look pretty blatant.
Between that and the lucky bounce off the skate goals, that game could have gone the other way real easy.

That Hedman goal should have been highlight reel material.
"Goal scorer's goal".

Instead Kadri gets comeback hero status GWG.

Avs did work for it in OT.

Anyone else notice the hot chick in the red Av's T shirt and tight jeans behind Bednar?

I was watching her all night, and then she had a great drama queen moment that made the highlights.

The Avs played their game and was up on shots but TB are the champs for a reason. Kuemper is just to inconsistent. He was the weak link. Can you imagine how the Avs would be if they had Vasilevskiy? He has been the difference for TB.

All in all a pretty darn good game, clearly goal tending for Avs has been sporadic. I just thought both teams played full speed last night. That 4/3 was a back breaker. Looks like the Avs are gonna have to win one on the soft slow ice! Hah!

Well put, trade goalies and the AVS would be 4-0. Francoz in the pipes for game 6?? Or at least Klonker on a short leash.

Great year for my Avs!!!! Now it is time to get to work.

Another no call for too many men at a critical point and a no call for obvious icing right after.

...but Colorado was the better team by a smidge last night.

In general:

Hard to get out of TB's D zone
Hard to get past at center ice
Hard to set up against in the TB O zone.
Sometimes Av's PK looked like they weren't a man short

As much of a bad-*** as Makar is, there were several times in P1 where TB made him look pretty bad.
...but failed to score when he was in the box and not on the PK.

Other than those late officiating issues, a good, hard played 110% action, fun game to watch.

I come out of the back room last night from a phone call and my wife has it on the last 8 minutes of the game. I hadn't watched any of it so what a good fortunate stumble lol.. then we continue to watch it for the next hour as they hoist the trophy and celebrate... Pretty cool...

...and they bent the Stanley Cup!

When they were grouping up for the big photo, "someone" just threw the cup into the middle, and I saw it land awkwardly.

The next time they showed it, the base was bent pretty good.
