Ashamed of This Community

Don't know your original thread so this is just my reply to what you posted here. You want to about talk hatred? Go on to a Chevy or Ford forum and talk about dropping a Mopar or foreign engine in one of those! You'll really see the butthurt flow!

Yeah, I'm one of those guys that prefer a Mopar heart in a Mopar. That said, I plan to run a GM transmission in my DD. I've caught flack for it but I don't care what anyone says. However, I'll build my ride just the way someone thinks I should if they're willing to foot the bill!

If you're looking for a replacement for your /6, I know someone here in Tucson that would give you a helluva deal on a complete engine and transmission. It would be a straight bolt in and have you going again.

In conclusion, any internet forum (I've been a part of a lot! - dirt bikes, musician, autos, firearms, sports) if you go against the grain, or the popular opinions, you're going to catch hell to some degree. You're going to need to grow some thicker skin if you're going to be participating in any online forum. Also, try not to insult an entire "community" as it probably isn't the best way to make friends of those that might actually be of some help or, at the least, provide moral support. Finally, it's your car and you're footing the bill. Build it any way you wish, as long as you're happy with it, let the haters be damned!
"However, I'll build my ride just the way someone thinks I should if they're willing to foot the bill!" Exactly. I couldn't have said that any better!
