I can drive anywhere in America and be home in 2.5 days. Exception of Alaska.
Nothing is too far if you have a gas powered car. Perhaps if you have an EV you can only go so far and it will take you many days to go across country.

Like I had said earlier ,back in the 80's it was customary to bust a guys balls over what car he was driving...that's how the chit got started then we'd take it out on the highway for a rolling start throw down...OR Light to light but in town you'd usually get in trouble. There was a section of Pa 422 still under construction near Limerick, and wed run out there because there was no traffic.

They was babied too much by teachers , helicopter parented and told it was ok to be "diagnosed" by a mental health professional...

A LS swap into a early A body 4 door? THere's 3 things against you right there! LMAO :poke::rofl:

probably the best advice is to put a 170 slant back in it...maybe overhaul the engine and trans for the experience, but if its done right it will run...

Watch American graffiti where Falfa is saying Milner's car is a mix between piss yellow and puke green, Milner replies with "yeah well that must be a field car..." that's a quick lesson to the youngins about how it was...

I think it kacked a rod and windowed the block. (oil pan at least)

I remember when I towed my 340 Swinger home, my one buddy who knows nothing about cars was like "its a piece of ****..." we were standing around in the garage like Hank Hill and Boomhauer with beers and he keeps saying "its a piece of ****..." he was over last summer saying "Is this the same car...? looks good...":) point is don't get all butthurt over it.

Man that was great. I’ve never watched the guy but will be now. Thanks
Honestly never heard of him before last weekend. Was out at dinner with a couple neighbors of vairous ages who were talking about workplace stuff and this came up. So the one neighbor sent it to me later that night.

You are "ashamed of this community?" You are ASHAMED of a community that "in part" consists of some guys with one opinion and some with another opinion? You are ASHAMED that we somehow did not fit your fanciful idea of "what we all should be?"

Some people like blondes, some like brunettes. And some like brunettes who have been bleached blonde and some don't.

You are ASHAMED of this community? There IS a possible solution.......Don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

JGizmo, If I remember in one of your posts you Slant thru a rod.
Hard to believe that no one has a Slant out there for you to replace the damaged one.
If you want to come to Vegas I will give you a 225 short block that I have.
Don't need it, don't care if you want to do the LS. I believe you just wanted to get the car back on the road.
If he was close by me, he could come by here and I'd build him one. I have enough parts here to get the job done. It wouldn't be fancy, but it'd run and be a damn sight better than a rod hangin outta the block.

I like gals that are female. LOL

Wow.
Just wow.
Ashamed of the community?
I'm ashamed of some of the younger generations, too. But that's our own fault.
The real world is not "point and click" or "plug and play"... Things don't always go in our direction just because we want them to. Life does not award us with "Participation Trophies".
This is a community of cold, hard steel- life does not just bolt together without creativity and hard work. Expect injuries and scars along the way.
A project car is like life- you get out of it what you put into it. No two are the same, and the final product is the direct result of the effort you're willing to put into it. There is no "kit" or "magic formula" for either one that does not require additional work.
Life is hard, and there's good advice out there from those of us who've battled through it.
To paraphrase an old quote; "Those who choose to ignore history (which also applies to experience and advice) are doomed to repeat it".

you are an enabler if you would do that. Now if you sit down and hand him the tools a TEACH him how to do it you would be doing him and society a big favor. Doing it for him teaches him nothing.

Well of course that's what I meant. He wouldn't leave here without learning something.
