My 83 D150 came from the factory with a BBD. It did not have factory AC but the front of the air cleaner housing had a flat on it that was there to provide clearance for the AC compressor. I have added factory AC to that D150.
If you can do minor metal work and welding or know some one that does it should not be a big deal to modify the front and top the car air cleaner housing to get clearance.
