1970 Duster project in Sweden
Installed the new oil pump and pickup tube today. Was going to put the oil pan on too, but two things made me stop and think.
1: The when the pickup tube was bottomed out in the pump it was not pointing right. I had to back it off and that made it feel a bit loose. I installed it with Loctite. It did not feel right to try to force it almost another full turn.
2: I had two seals for the pan. One is slightly beefier in some places. I don't know if you can see it in the pictures. One is probably from a Fel-Pro kit and one is from a MR.Gasket kit but I don't know which one is which. I guess I can use either one?
