i belong to a,b,c,fmj, and trucks. in my opinion a is the best and by far the most active forum. b and c are both good. the other 2 are all right but not much action.

Nothing wrong with that !! C-bodies are nice drivers!

Hey thanks for coming back fellas. Nothing like some support from your support group. I got some electrical bugaboos up under the dash somewhere. Drove it a couple weeks, and since the beginning I've been starting it at the relay under the hood. The starter works in the start position however there's no ignition energy when the key is in the start position.
Earlier today I pulled the gauge panel out from the dash. And there's a wire seems that at one time went to the dash and traveled to the right (from the driver's position) toward the heater box. This wire has no insulation left on it it completely burned away. So I think I'll attempt figuring it out by noting all the wires that are there and their colors and tracers and guess which one is missing. Melted a line down the wrap tape that held the bundle together. Have not looked closely yet but all the wires around it seven or eight maybe don't seem to have burned through the insulation . But that detail will require closer inspection .
This is my first c body other than pickup trucks I've been a body guy all along. But when it showed up , right in my neighborhood I had to go have a look. I tell you I think I had a flashback when I walked up to it could smell it and feel it. My favorite color too. Any other color I would have had the Wagner power painter out doing a black and white Blues Brothers on it.
And it's just about the same condition they were in back in the 80s when I was buying dusters and darts and valiants for 500 bucks a piece. For a thousand bucks you got a really super nice one.
1973 fury 3 , 360 massive cubic inches !
A bit tired now with 170K on it.

I'll let y'all know what I find about the cabin fire.

Let’s see the whole car from all different angles. You don’t have to show the interior. I love C bodies, they deserve two different ZIP Codes.

Pardon my absence please. But I've been way too busy. New job, and working on this war machine in Green . As it is my daily work truck now and I need to keep it rolling. Last night I realized just how much I love this car. A few little pain in the D problems are nothing compared to the pleasure of driving it like a maniac and working on it even not a problem.
I'm a menace on the road now wait till there's a suspension on it.

I'm finding parts supplies for this car in short supply. Anybody specialist in these cars? Parts lots? In particular a door spring an over center type spring use the help hold the front doors open. I'll post that in the want listings I suppose (I tend to be bit of scofflaw but I'm going to try to behave at this forum).

Really, if you want parts or information, you need to join over on fcbo. It's a great group of guys there. You will be hard pressed to find the parts you need elsewhere and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to get answers on specifics other than that site. Well worth being a member.

What he said!

I need window seals and wipers down below, terribly !

I can't believe this kind of stuff is not available. Legendary interiors soft seal seal steal a steel steel seal wtfever . They made millions and millions of these cars. And AutoZone tells me they can't get a starter relay for this car.
Are you kidding me? That was my last walk into the AutoZone.

I too have multiple Mopar versions, I have joined some of the other sites but in the end, if I need technical help, A bodies is where to go. No judgment here, well maybe some good natured heckling but in the end the guys on here know stuff! And they are not afraid to share. For parts the C body site is a great resource tho. I say there is simply nothing more comfy than a C body! Wide in the glide!
