Crew cab C barges make great donor cars.
I had a 2dr version of that car when I was a kid, called it Ol smoke, cause it left a trail of smoke behind it. lol It was a 400 car and would still fly!:realcrazy:

Cool! Here is my old 73 Custom Suburban ...I bought it back in 2006, sold it to a good friend of mine about 6-7 years ago since he really wanted it, he lowered it and tinted the glass, plans to pull the 400 and drop a 5.7 Hemi in it....this car has original paint and 250k miles on it, mostly unrestored too. When I bought it I drove it home from Seattle to Minnesota, fun trip! I love these c-body cars and hope to get another some day

You sonuva! So many C bodies had their hearts ripped out of them for an E or B body. I find it's easier to buy a complete car for a few parts, than it is to find those few parts! I've had almost as many C body parts cars as I have C body cars I want to get on the road. And they keep pushing my Dart on the back burner, taking it's engines and transmissions.

You sonuva!
Calm down Charlie Brown:lol: miss your avatar btw.
I knew that post would ruffle a few feathers lol.

I saved a ton of parts that I thought might be of value to someone, then after a few years , off to the scrap yard they went. How many did you send to the scrap yard? I bet more than me...
I still have a bunch of stuff left over. What do you need for a 72 New Yorker brougham?
Nothing? That`s what I thought...

Really, if you want parts or information, you need to join over on fcbo. It's a great group of guys there. You will be hard pressed to find the parts you need elsewhere and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to get answers on specifics other than that site. Well worth being a member.

It's definitely in the plans. Support groups are needed.

I too have multiple Mopar versions, I have joined some of the other sites but in the end, if I need technical help, A bodies is where to go. No judgment here, well maybe some good natured heckling but in the end the guys on here know stuff! And they are not afraid to share. For parts the C body site is a great resource tho. I say there is simply nothing more comfy than a C body! Wide in the glide!

I'm with you on the FABO greatness. I lurked off and on for about 2 weeks . And the for sale posts technical information blew my mind. Signed on to the support effort found so much help and helpful people. I took the step and signed on for the gold. It's worth every bit of it .

Those photos I posted are month old maybe 6 weeks definitely was the day I bought it. Nothing major has changed since. Most of my time is spent combing the spaghetti burned down wiring behind the dash.
The ignition switch is gone toast. I've got a farm store replacement cobbledon for the temporary service. I believe there's a wiring mistake somewhere in the ballast resistor circuit it's hard starting cold. I think there's a change to a four-pin ICU at one point and there's something that just doesn't seem right to me in the circuit. The ballast resistor is good the resistance is right on the money. But there's a stray or missing wire somewhere I just got the looms under the hood broken down last night so I can start combing through that.
Did I mention that I love this car?

Hot and cold compression tests.
360 massive cubic inches. It says so right there.
A GM style radiator , crowding out my overflow recovery tank. This will change in a couple weeks when the battery goes to the trunk. The radiator will stay but the overflow will be back in the correct location.
Spark plugs looking a little thirsty there. But maybe no excessive oil in the cylinders. At the same time last night eliminated a giant vacuum leak coming from the brake booster. So the plugs might be a little happier now.
None of my Mopar fans fit. Presently in place is a Slummitt flexi. I've heard more than one story of flex fans coming unglued. It's days are numbered , it makes a lot of racket too. The large lopsided my favorite, Thank you Rat Rod Al.

No kidding " harder to park " they just don't make parking lots like they used to.
Let the Tesla and Prius drivers steam and scheme . While I'm blasting by at three times their speed (must be a race to the gasoline station). They can all save a little gasoline for me and my Green Terror. (MechanicalManiacal laughter hahaha)

Nothing wrong with that !! C-bodies are nice drivers!

I grew up in a town of 1500 people. Fortunately for me the local auto mechanic was a Mopar man from the way back. He was a very serious (not professional) Mopar drag racer in the mid thru late 60s.
A wise man, and in a very serious tone of voice and look of eye , he once told me . . .
"They're all race cars" .
And I go with it.
