You're going to have to take care of the converter. Both of mine are stock. I think a stock high stall (about 2500) would be perfect. I wouldn't trust either of these, anyway. You'll definitely want the 71 with the part throttle kickdown. As far as the "floor shift" thing goes, there's no difference especially since you'll be using an aftermarket shifter.
