R.I.P. Tony I never had the pleasure of meeting you but I always thought you were one amazing man. Condolences to the Family.

Another great pict from Famoso back in 16…. Not sure who took the photo but this was Tony and his daughter Tonya grabbing tools and generally supporting me as I thrashed on my transmission between rounds. His other daughter Christen was under the car with me holding the light. :)

Dam, that is so sad. May he Rest In Peace. Prayers sent to his family and friends. I’ll miss his postings. Kim

I read the post above this one which is the post announcing his having passed away.... And before reading this post I literally said the same thing...

This is just terrible. We've lost a pillar of this community. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P Tony. I had wondered why we hadn’t heard from him recently and knew he had some medical issues, just didn’t realize the severity. Very sad loss to the community.

Thanks for sharing pictures and stories.

RIP Tony, so sorry to hear this news!
I never had the pleasure of meeting you, hopefully we will get that chance later!

So, so, sad. Prayers sent for Tony's family.

Tony was a very knowledgeable helpful guy, he will be missed. Praying for the family.

Where is Dental Dart? I know Tony helped him a lot, I know it seems as if we have lost a lot of really nice members, RIP

A Family affair, that's what it is all about. Hope the family keeps his spirit for his Mopars going. GOD BLESS!!!!!

R.I.P. Tony. Your contributions to this community and to all those racers and car enthusiasts you supported will remember you forever.

Tony passed away. No specifics.

he was diagnosed with cancer I’m thinking last September. Went through various treatments. Things were looking “ok”…. until they weren't. I last saw him at the track back in December at a test and tune. He and his daughter (Tonya) brought the yellow Duster out to play with. He had lost a bunch of weight at that point and energy was hard to come by, but he was in his “happy place” for sure. I’m sure that was his last time at the track.

on a side note a few years back there was another mopar racer in Vegas that suddenly passed. His car had been sitting with a wounded bullet and Tony let the guys son use an engine to get the car back to the track. As far as I know that engine is still in the car. Tony pretty much said you keep it…

Sounds like typical Tony behavior to me...
