74 power wagon dream truck...

I had the same trouble with mine. I think all it is, is a difference in the rubber used for a solid window and a slider. I am replacing a slider with a solid window (using the original rubber from the slider) and mine fits real loose like that too. I have yet to look into a new gasket though.

Well another 3 hours round trip in the car and I have the complete lowdown...
It was my 72 window that I took out of a parts truck that I tried to put my 74. Probably the same problem you're having. So from top to bottom on the smaller one it's 13 and 1/2 in and on the bigger one it's 14 and 1/2 in. You can see how everything would fit much better. And down at the bottom the smaller one was 55 in at its widest point and the bigger one I didn't measure the width but I put them on top of each other and I'd say it was about an inch bigger as well and at the bottom I had just a slightly different kind of curvature....
Here's the funny story about it.. The guy that I got it from must have at least 10 trucks semi-hole and his parted out probably 100 and has all the parts from them and he's taken out lots of these windows but he's never put one in... So when he told me yeah that's the bigger one yesterday and I took off he didn't really know what the hell he was talking about... In the end I got the new well used scratched up window in... If it's nice and tight and I bought a brand new seal sometime ago...PXL_20220704_002705527.jpg
