Stock strut rods are completely inferior. The caster changes they allow on braking and acceleration are terrible, the giant rubber pillow bushings are lousy. And the binding they induce at the ends of the range of travel is not insignificant.
I do prefer the QA1 style adjustable strut rods, they use a double adjuster at the LCA. Much easier to accurately adjust the length since it can be done without changing the torque on the nut on the other side of the LCA. Same design as the ones I've had on my Challenger for 70k+ street miles, still function like brand new.
