Watching these guys marching around in those period correct uniforms on the 4th, glad I wore OD, didn’t show the mud as bad

Morning guys and hope everyone had a safe great long weekend.
Rain on and off today but we desperately need it so I'm good with it.
Hopefully on Thurs evening we'll finally be able to take our balloon ride our son gave us 3 xmas' ago. Kept getting delayed because of Covid for one and bad weather. So far so good this time.
Have a wonderful day.

Up up and away

Well it did as promised only light rain on and off all day unfortunately, we were hoping for a good downpour. The rest of the week is cooler but sunshine all the way.

you should have been here yesterday
me and the wife celebrated our anniversary by taking the boat out to dinner (there is one restaurant with about a dozen dock places, so we went there)

after that we were going to go see the fireworks out on the big lake
i was on the fence for most of the evening because of the storm that was in the forecast
i decided to go out with a little sprinkles coming down

i took this picture around 8.30

Morning guys and Happy Hump Day.
I posted a picture yesterday and it got really political and probably religious after I left the site.
I apologize for what I wrote after someone just had to get political and insulting our Prime Minister.
They just don't know when to shut up. As proven many times Politics and religion have started wars.
The post has been taken down BTW
Have a great day

Just heard on the news a few minutes ago a guy from the Toronto area was tagged going 100 over the speed limit in his 500,000 Lambo and in a very dangerous area where a lot of accidents happen.
The cops have impounded his car and pulled his license for a while also. Just wait till he gets the car back and his license back and his next ins policy.
I can hear it in court now..."Oh I'm sorry your honour but the gas peddle got stuck to the floor".

In Manitoba everything that would happen to him in Ontario would happen here except he would also be charged with dangerous driving, loss of licence same as breathalyzer plus a show cause hearing explaining why you should have your driver’s license.

Don’t know what the speed limit on the hwy in Ontario is 100km or 110 km but a 100 over would be 200 km plus. 160 km =100mph so he was sifting along.

I'm sure that will be in the works... 170 in a 60 zone (so that's 106mph in a 40mph zone). Could very well be a school zone.

On 401 series hwys it's 100km but some have been changed to 110 in some areas but not many yet. All the rest of the roads are usually 80 (50mph) unless it's a built up area. Then it drops to 50 or 30 mph.. School zones are usually 40 or 25 mph

i remember back in the Netherlands, if they caught you doing 50 km/h or more over the posted speed limit you just forfeited your license
and that doesnt include the fines that come with it

for some reason they used a "correction" (i think the reasoning is that you want to give people the benefit of the doubt since not everyone has a calibrated speedometer like my wifes charger does)

that rule saved me a few times where they caught me at 53 over and got to write me for 49

Had a nice drive up The Auto Route de Sud, in Quebec, many moons ago, 110-130 mph the whole way, the beloved Neon would do 130 and still get 30 mpg
