When I put it on an engine stand the oil was drained and filter removed, put a small oil filter back on and added 4 quarts of Rotella 30 wt, we spin it a bunch with no spark plugs, it stayed in my sons garage for the first 7 years, everytime I visited or he BBQ he would grab the brake over bare and give it and him some exercise, I got it back home and pulled the pan, was amazed how it looked, put my A body car pan on with a transmission, oil mix it it and started spinning here allot.
When I got the engine in the car with a starter I put an oil pressure gage on and (with no spark plug ) i work hit the mini starter an spun her long and fast, she rested that way two years with me doing that, then I dumped the oil transmission fluid mix and put 20 50 oil in her, I totally fired up like it never sat.
