So here goes a PSA on cooking with cast iron, for most part that is all I cook with. The occasional no stick but for most part exclusively cast iron. Now everyone has their own sequence for cleaning but I can assure the one thing we all have in common is no soap. I will post the three phases of the process below.
A: cook whatever you want
B: rinse and scrub with hot water only
C: return pan to stove, heat it up to open metal, dry out any freestanding water.
D: once pan is dry and slightly hot wipe in a dash of olive oil. She is then ready for next meal!

Two questions.
First do you need permission from Popeye to use Olive Oil,
Second , more a thought then a question. Just plain . Not Virgin, or extra virgin?

Store-bought lasagna. But I doctored it up with an extra pound of burger and mozzarella cheese. Yum yum

BLTs with a side of corn on the cob here. All fresh ingredients from the farmers market. Including the bread. And I found a new bacon source. Local farmer is back after a 3 year absence, he taught farming techniques in Brazil for the USDA, Anyway, his bacon is all fresh local raised pork, cured himself…. For 4 bucks a pound! It’s really good.

Just got hit with a hailstorm. Saw 2 or 3 ice cubes, rest were grapes or smaller. 5 minutes at most.

Super sucky Monday here. Already had work lined up when we walked in and they are relentlessly calling for maintenance. Thankfully shift is more than half done…:BangHead:

We thought it was Olive Oil
Turns out, it was so old it was Vinegar.
I have a funny barracks story involving vinegar, a drunk soldier who brought a really drunk and large dependa back to his room

let’s summarize by saying she sobered her up real quick when he used vinegar instead of KY Kelly… we all heard the scream from the next bay

Orthopedics wants a consult and evaluation with treatment plan. So, if that is the case, I am going back to McKenzie (Green Bay Packers Orthipedic who repaired my shoulder) tomorrow AM..
