Which year and body of the mopar family is the easiest to get parts for? There's very little available for the A bodies before 1968. I can't find taillamp housing for a 1972 scamp which is the same as a 1970 dart. I've tried the internet. Mopar is behind the times as I can get everything to completely rebuild a 1964 - 1968 mustang, same thing for most of the gm cars. I don't know how people restore their older A bodies as there is no replacement body panels, grill parts, heck there's not even windlace available for the A body after 1969. I can get universal windlace but that cost points at car shows as the color, pattern, texture is not as factory. No console bodies for the A body mopar either.

What Mopar specific model do you have after 1969 that takes windlace?

Took me all of 10 seconds to find this. You either suck at the internet or just like making mountains out of molehills. Either way you're one big royal pain in the *** here at times.

does he want the housing or lens?

i believe the scamp and dart lenses are different too. yes they will interchange but the pattern in the lens is different between a dart and scamp.

He said housing

But I want to know where on a 72 Scamp there is windlace?

Virtually every year of A-body has a year specific part or parts. 73 and up are less desirable and somewhat easier to find parts for. 67-9 Barracudas have many different styles not noticed with a quick look. 69 Darts and earlier have a large following and therefore parts availability related to this. 71-2 are mostly converted to 70! Carry the same info towards B and E bodies. There is no “easy to find parts for” Mopar.

You should probably reread his post then apologize.
He isn’t looking for lenses he’s looking for surround aka bezels I believe.

He said housings. he has a wanted here: Taillamp housing

Thats the tail lamp housing. There’s no bezel 70-72.

The ones one eBay are $135 shipped. So that’s like $100 w/o shipping. And that would be $50 each. Not a greatest deal, but delivered to your door.

Maybe so but I found the same housings 1971 CY dart posted in about 10 seconds also. Less time than it took to start this thread.

As for the rest of it, 1970-1972 are probably the best years for A-body parts availability. Dart grilles are reproduced, hell I found all the parts to make my Duster a Demon and they were pretty low production. So if he’s complaining about that, he probably shouldn’t have bought an A-body.

But if he’d bought an E-body he’d be complaining about the prices.

I have a '64 Rambler Classic 660 I'll sell ya. You should see all the aftermarket support I get on this !!!

Do they repro fender and quarters for 70-72 Darts still? Do they do Duster/Demon 1/4’s.

they make a lot of 68-69 Dart stuff too. Just comparing.

Some of that stuff was discontinued. You can still get the fenders. I know for Dusters they discontinued the quarter skins, but you can still get full quarters. I can’t remember which year range they discontinued for the Darts but they did discontinue one of the year ranges. So you can get the full quarter but you may have to convert the side marker.

Some of that I think will come back, they have the tooling it was just a demand/shipping cost deal. But yeah if you need it tomorrow that doesn’t help.

It’s not like it’s a new problem, you can get more parts now than almost any time before. With the possible exception of about 3 years ago. But that was way better than any time before that.

Sorry for confusing bezel and housing.
My barracudas are integrated.
I was more referring to the name calling.

The OP has started many threads complaining about anything and everything, pretty much all of which have devolved into monkey poo throwing contests. He has not been bashful about making his strong opinions known and has done his own fair share of name calling.

Not excusing it, but some people are tired of it.

Easiest cars to find parts for….

1970-74 Challenger/Cuda
1968-70 B body Satellite/Roadrunner
1968-70 Charger
1967-69 Dart

when searching for parts for any particular car, you’re going to have a few on each car that are hard to find. As the cars get down the list, that list grows and the availability to find parts in the aftermarket shrink. That’s just the way it is, vendors start with the most popular cars and produce the heck out of the parts, the lesser known cars, almost nothing

Sometimes it make you feel like you’re back in elementary school.
If they want to name call they should joint the other social media places. Then they can whine and name call all they want. This a car site not a whine and cheese society.

When I rebuilt my 53 Dodge truck, I lamented that aftermarket parts weren’t available.

Then, at a local car show I had a 50’s International on one side, and a 50’s Studebaker on the other. Suddenly, I felt like the aftermarket loved my truck.
