Been triple digits for over a month can"t work on dart after 11am, even with large fan in garage all it does is blow hot air been 110 on front porch almost every day no end in sight and no rain, I had heat stress back in 08 so heat gets to me pretty quick, drink till I'm waterlogged but doesn't help.
Maybe if I talk everyone in the neighborhood into washin vehicles it will rain yuk yuk

I was in Conroe texas all last week….yes it was very hot afternoons. Back in Illinois now, much better climate up here in July.

They say here, if the heat does not kill you outright, the humidity will just slowly suffocate you till dead!!
S. Texas..it will cool off about Nov.

Same here, I'm right around the corner in Castroville. I did get a fan for the barn/shop that at least keeps the humid air moving and lets my body keep up. Made all the difference in the world between an hour and up to 5 if I'm diligent with the fan direction.

I pulled heads on 7.3 ford up prather when it was 109.. wife tried to hold a couple umbrellas to shade us both... but the heat was too much for her. I got used to it, well so I thought..for about an hr... then after one head was off...i called it quits , I was toasted. Dehydrated & sun burnt. Just like that I felt extremely tired and that next day pissing out my *** and laid up drinking water. I used to fair in 104 no problem. Theres a spot between 98-105* that feels the same to me. Higher than that feels like a hot blanket...it zaps the water right out of you and effects you brain. You slow down...fall asleep and you die. It's not like some old western where you fall asleep n hallucinate a nice little dream then wake up...you organs shut down, shock n heart attack.

Yup, good rule of thumb is if you're still sweating, you're not too far gone. People sometimes forget to pay attention to the fact the sweat is no longer getting into their eyes. If that happens, seek help immediately and hydrate as fast as you can. Eating a pickle or two helps from the salt.

That’s brutal. We start crying when it hits 90. We also cry at sub zero. Pick your poison.

I have been hot enough to stop sweating and get chills, back a few decades ago, that is dangerous close to heat stroke. Life and death deal. It would kill my old *** today.
I don't get too hot today.

drink the pickle juice, a few swallows helps leg cramps too ...

95% humidity in the mornings and 95 degree plus temps in the afternoon here.

Not sure what this was all about, though.

Car was parked in the back yard.

Do any of you guys put A/C in your garage? I did that 2 years ago and it's awesome. Turn it on an hour before I want to get things done and it'll keep my insulated 24X24 space at 78-80 when it's in the high 90's with that good ole Wisconsin humidity

I had plans, all sorts of plans and got tired of waiting. I was going to insulate etc and regret not doing it every time I'm out there in the heat. My shop is 36x48x14 and would be murder to put A/C in. I am however going to install two 24" exhaust fans up high on the back wall. Should keep air moving which helps a lot.

I do…I work in a 23x30….

111 today, 115 tomorrow. We had rain last night so the humidity will be killer for the next few days.

I lived in North Texas by Fort Worth, after 15 years the heat chased me a away .. but, its been hot here lately too

Rain last nigh.

So far today, only up to 78 degrees.

Shock!

Does it get that hot in the NE part of the state?

yes but we get a constant stream of air off the Gulf so it's always wetter (humid). Less hot way more humid! although this summer we seem to get down into the 50% range by the time it gets over 100 which has been kinda a nice change....

Our AC died right after we bought this house so we bought a mobile unit while it was getting replaced. It's been living in our garage ever since.

Looks like a week just under 100 coming up. Woohoo we had a string of 105's last week.
