Edelbrock Pro Flow 4

Resurrecting an old thread. After Edelbrock locked my thread about the phasing issue last year...I receive a new distributor from a customer to shorten for an A body. Guess what, they changed the shaft to accept a Ford rotor. What a coincidence!!

Very interesting, they’ve obviously used up all the old stock now and decided they really should be running the same style rotor arms as the Chevs. Quite poor that they spent so much time in moderating, sensoring & trying to silence the valuable feedback that they were receiving. Thanks for sharing the update!

The sticky is from a BB!

Exactly. And so is the sticky a while back talking about “us” not knowing how to correctly set the initial timing at 12* and how to make sure we knew how to install the distributor pointing to #1. The fact that it was a BB shown in the pictures was brought up at that time also. They still denied there was an issue and change the design because they didn’t want to warranty all the units in the field. Piss poor.

I'll dig up photos, but the Edelbrock setup is lower than my Air Gap and carb due to the low profile of the throttle body.

Here is the air gap/carb vs. the Victor/throttle body. Both have roughly the same underside.
