340 on the dyno

Whether you want to accept you have a problem with it or not, theres still a problem. Best of luck, baby.

Ps, you might wanna remove the "cool dude" from your title..

I don't get it, the last time I posted an engine I dynoed someone created drama also. So the carburetors leaner on one side, I don't care. I have five carburetors to choose from, it runs good, I'm not asking how to fix it.

Here's the 750 Carter AFB. Lost a few hp. Still quite responsive. I'm going to install it on the car to see how it runs as a comparison.

The Carter is using way more fuel....... and making less power with it........so the bsfc numbers have gone in the crapper as a result.

A few years ago I had a 400hp 360 on the dyno.
The customer was going to be using an Ede 750 in the car.
I started out testing with my dyno mule 750dp Holley, then switched to his Ede.
They were within a few hp of each other, with the fuel flow and bsfc numbers close between the two as well.
Closer than I expected really.

I'm glad you have identified the common denominator = you
LOL

Look how it almost doesn't change throughout the range. That's a vacuum leak somewhere. There are "builders" here and "mechanics"...
both put stuff together, one is more an order of nuts n bolts..while the other is more calculated.... after those two get done blaming eachother why it has a bug/glitch...in comes the diagnostic tech.
I'm qualified and experienced in all 3. The operator isn't being very helpful with his statement, or he himself doesn't really get it...which would be a scary scenario. With a dual plane there has been known a tendency for the 2 center cylinders to be leaner, not the ends. Each bank of a dual plane feeds 2 cylinders on each side, 4 total for each side of the plenum....like 2,8,3,5 one side...then 1,7,4,6 of the other. There is no way for one side of the carb to accomplish leaning out all 4 cyl on one side '2,4,6,8' because 2,8 are fed from the other side of the carb/plenum along with 3 & 5...while the others off the other side.
Imo Its leaking , be it some base plate leak or at the intake flange...or the bung the o2 is plugged into. One side is getting air after the carb...because it doesnt change af, not even half a point. Take it or leave it.
I HAD THAT ON AN OLD HOLLEY STREET DOMINATOR porous runner s on the intake

@Babyblue66
Well...page 1.... I was agreeing and liking everyone elses "attaboy" and "good numbers"... then told you it 'runs good' aka it's making good power. I just threw help your way to an actual issue I have seen before. Now.. Idrc what level your "good'nuff" adds up to ..but it was still help and could be taken with at least an.."I'll consider it, next". You were an instant skeptic/defensive and said another carb worked fine 'when it really doesn't according to the numbers you share'...then take the "stare down" exit as soon as its offered with "I'll leave it then"...yet you're still whining about it.

Sounds like we need a "show n tell forum"..
No comments allowed and only a like button...wait, nope..top that..that you HAVE to push the like just to open the thread.

Prove that you could make more power fixing that issue.
Who cares? I posted an engine dyno to show what you can do with minimal investment. So the carb has an issue. Why is this so important to you. It's not your engine, your carb, or your car. I know it's amazing that it runs with such a horrible af ratio. I almost thought the world was going to end for a second. But to my surprise, it didn't.
