Picked up this Hawk 1/4 scale 426 at a flea mkt Instructions call for
Testors liquid cement Ok
It also calls for
Instant super glue and accelerator which I cannot locate
Can I use, say, Gorilla super glue OR ?
Some parts you have to position with tweezers and use the glue + accelerator
Going to stop at a Hobby Lobby outside of Carlisle this weekend
Any recommendations?
Thanks

I never use Testors tube glue on a plastic model. I gave up on that stuff when I was ten or eleven and switched to liquid glue. It gives you far more professional looking results and if done correctly you'll have no excess glue squeezing out of the joint between the plastic parts you're assembling. When I have it around Weld-On number 4 is my preferred glue. Use a small pointed brush to apply a small drop to the joint and capillary pull draws it in and spreads it along. It works quickly and any excess glue evaporates away in under a minute. That tendency to evaporate quickly is also its only drawback. Keep the lid on the container tight or the next time you go to use it you'll find half the contents or more has evaporated away. That being said, any liquid glue is superior to the stuff Testors sells in a tube. Testors does sell a liquid glue that I've used at times and it also works very well.
