I kept bending the center link on my 2003 Craftsman rider.
It was ***** to remove after it bent because it got trapped up in between the frame sections.

I finally fabricated a new one from square tubing, bolts and lock nuts and replaced it.
Hasn't bent yet.

the part that broke on mine is just a ball joint
it sits on the outside of the frame and is real easy to get to

actually getting a replacement is another story though
 
Visited the Bluewater Bridge (Port Huron, MI side (about 40 miles from our house)) when our son, from Boston, came home for a visit. Got a panoramic shot of it!
