I like that guy too. Seems like a down to earth guy with passion for helping others.
In 2003 I met Cherokee Parks at a Burger king by my old High school. His old school (Marina) was playing my old school (Huntington Beach) and we both happened to be in the walk in line before the game. I looked at him and casually asked him "No game tonight, eh?" (He was with the Clippers at the time) and he grinned and said he's only watching tonight. No drama.
I also met 'Chargin' Charlie Hayes doing an installation at his condo.
