Drove My “New” Duster

I’ve done a few things to my new build, getting the bugs out.
I isolated the Holley blue. That quieted it down a LOT.
Worked on the timing curve and carb to get it idling. Almost perfect now.
It really liked a lighter secondary spring! See comment about punching from a stop, below!
I got the right throttle cable. The slant cable was too long.
Got a good double (NHRA tech thing) throttle spring set up.
It was 95* out today. It’s been running about 200*. I hope it has a 195 stat. I don’t remember. I’ll put a 160 or 180 in it, if I’m that lucky, and that’s all I need.
I still have to finish the battery in trunk deal.
The rear howls. I was hoping I forgot oil. No such luck. haha.
I tested stall speed in high gear with the brakes on. 32-3500ish. I didn’t want to smoke the trans.
The line lock clicks, but no whoa. I hate to crack open brake lines again, but oh well.
The front end is all new, but VERY tight. I’m going to have to disassemble and see what’s what. It doesn't bounce by hand.
That’s about it. I’ve driven it enough now that I don’t carry half my tools. haha. I trust it now.
Today, it made its first beer run! (Pic)
Just cruised it with just a ride in mind.
Fun stuff.
Oh, I punched it once from a stop and I had to lift and correct! :steering:
