Modern skinny spare for older mopars

I personally do not have a lot of faith in fix a flat, but have been using trucker style plug strips with a container of Slime on board as an emergency back-up for years. Trucker strips have never failed to repair a screw or nail on the road. Even bailed out a motorcycle rider near the Arctic Circle in Alaska

I never heard of a "truck" style plug strip but since you mentioned it, I did a search and sure enough it comes up. The pictures however look the same as what I have purchased for the past 30 years for my cars. Is there a difference in diameter or length? Maybe it is just marketing? But I agree either way, those plugs are awesome. I once plugged tires for practically every neighbor when our subdivision was under construction in the late 80's...nails everywhere back then. Seldom had a case where the chords were damaged and a repair was impossible.

Some call them gummy strips, and other names, but all the good ones are made of a leather like material with a forever lasting super sticky stuff on them, packed in wax paper. All about 3" that I have seen. Been around for 30 + years as the guy I rescued in AK was back in 2001. The better trucker kits have a much heavier set of tools for reaming and installing. I carry something similar to this in my 4X4 and truck and a general move around kit for my hot rods, as I have a few. A better than plastic air compressor is also a must! I carry a condensed version version on my motorcycle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E635PGA/?tag=fabo03-20

As I have 14in rims I went for a 175/82-14. It’s full size, but still about 2cm too thick for a completely flat floor.
