Been through this on my '68 cuda 383. Different venders supplied slightly different variations from the factory. So there will be some debate about what was "original". Originally my car came with 1 7/8"/ 2" exhaust w/ tips. The system was 2" through the mufflers and over the rear end. Then the pipe was reduced to 1 7/8" out to the 1 7/8" tips.Accurate Exhaust was very helpful as they have collected NOS pipes from these cars and reproduce them. Along with exact reproductions they also offer variations of the system. For me, I decided on 1- piece headpipes and 2 1/4" system out to the tips. This makes it the same as a "B" body exhaust system. The system fit very well and the car has a very healthy sound, and looks original.
