69 Dart/Barracuda 340/383 tail pipe size?
Please @VOETOM check over this... But here is my thinking.
When air temperature lowers it takes up less space. PV=nRT
Seems like EGT's near manifolds 1000 deg F. And tailpipes at 500 deg F.
So.... 34% drop in volume in ideal situation. But shouldn't be way far off from reality.
If volume goes down, you don't need as big of tailpipe as head pipe. At least that's what I'm thinking.
***I'm not sure if the psi I'm assuming is right. But the 34% ratio is the same IF the pressure is the same front to back. ***
