Here we go, a little over 770 miles north and about 267 feet higher than Sonoma and surrounded by oxygen-generating pine trees.
The first of three Pro qualifying sessions starts Friday, July 29, at 7:45PM EDT (4:45PM PDT).
Like last week, Friday qualifying won't be on TV (FS1) until Saturday at 2:00PM EDT (11:00AM PDT).
Saturday qualifying won't be on TV (FS1) until Sunday at 2:30PM EDT (11:30AM PDT).
Final eliminations will be televised Sunday on FOX at 4:00PM EDT (1:00PM PDT). FOX will again be going head-to-head with the NASCAR television coverage starting at 2:30PM EDT on NBC.
Unfortunately, it appears that current high fuel and travel costs continue to impact the number of professional class entries but the numbers are slightly better this week.

Congratulations to 'Back in Time' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2022 Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals with an outstanding total of 163.5 points. He picked the class winners in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock. His Funny Car pick lost in the semi-final round of eliminations and his Pro Stock Motorcycle pick lost in the second round of eliminations. Current weather forecast for this event shows a daily high temp of 92F-93F for today through Sunday. That's pretty warm for the area. I wonder what tuning issues it may create.

Congratulations to both 'johnnycuda' (FABO) and 'cuda20' (FABO) for sharing the 2022 Menards NHRA Nationals Presented by PetArmor Top Qualifier title with a very nice total of 27.5 bonus points each. 'johnnycuda' (FABO) picked the #1 qualifier in Pro Stock, the #3 qualifier in both Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #6 qualifier in Top Fuel. 'cuda20' (FABO) picked the #2 qualifier in both Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #3 qualifier in Pro Stock, and the #6 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!

* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The earliest possibility of a head-to-head matchup is in the semi-final round of eliminations if the drivers survive that far.
* 4 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possiblity of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations if both drivers are still in competition.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possiblity of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations if both drivers are still in competition.
