Which spacer for 1965 273

I’m putting on a carb spacer on a 1965 hi-po 4bbl 273 with the stock intake manifold and a 1403 Edelbrock. Which spacer should I use for this application?

I'm stumped trying to figure out why a spacer is needed. Maybe pictures would help? Are you just wanting one to try to cool the carburetor off?
