For purposes of reference. What are these brackets called? Please pardon the swiss cheese.

To remove them? Just spot welds? Drill out from the front? Or the outside rather.

They may help, but if the bumper wasn't there these wouldn't either. The bumper bolts through the rear panel on either side of these.

Whatever the preferred nomenclature. i curse them for impeding my trunk floor pan removal while i thank them for supporting my tail panel and bumper.
