Will the factory 2 barrel cable work with a 4 barrel? Also is there any brackets that I would need to change to do the swap correctly?
I meant the linkage, rough dayCable? What cable?
Throttle cable that runs from the accelerator pedal to the carburetorCable? What cable?
Performer intake with a 600 edelbrock, a/tWhat intake and carb do you plan to run? Auto or manual?
Awesome, thanks. That sounds like the best way to go.You can get Lokar cables for the throttle and trans kick down.

Thanks for the info
I'm sure you haveAll the 2bb stuff works with very little effort. Been there and done it more than I wish to remember.
I even have the factory 2bbl stuff (all of it) running the dual quads (under hood) on my 318 Duster.....I'm sure you have

- Just know there is a more "professional" way... so to speak. You can get the correct factory 4bbl linkages and all, or go all lokar... just letting you know it is NOT necessary.
Johnny Dart, what's wrong with using this set up?Awesome, thanks. That sounds like the best way to go.
With everyone's input, the swap will be easy as apple pie4 bbl manifold and carb places the throttle connection stud farther forward than a 2 bbl. You can deal with the throttle bracket by using a 340/360 bracket or modifying a 2bbl bracket. Transmission kickdown lever is most easily addressed by an Edelbrock extension that screws onto the threads of the original kickdown rod and then you screw the slotted kickdown end piece into the extender (or cut and weld two rods to move it farther forward). 2bbl throttle cable works fine...
I'm grateful for all of the good ideas and information that you all have given me on this. You can make a simple extension for the throttle cable and keep the 2 barrel bracket.
You can also extend the kickdown with a length of all-thread and a barrel nut.
