Personally with how cheap bluetooth amps have gotten these days it's much easier to just get one of those and wire it to the factory speakers (or aftermarket). Completely hidden, connects to your phone when it turns on and you can control it from your phone or from a remote. Leave the factory stereo there.

If I didn't want navigation, that's what I would have done. Instead I ran my navigation screen below the underdash A/C and left the factory AM radio in situ. No cuts, no mods, all reversible.
