Looking for a decent creeper

-
Yes, it looks exactly the same. I bought the $39.95 Harbor Freight Pittsburg Creeper first. I took it back because the casters would not flip around when I changed directions. Maybe I just got a lemon from HF. This one glides easily and has plenty of clearance.

Huh. Could be the back piece is the same but TSC specs better casters? Stranger things have happened. There are a lot of manufacturers that put their name on stuff coming out of the same factory, but it's not unheard of for them to have different QC standards to go along with the different name/color on the part.

But yeah, I haven't had any issues with my HF version, other than I've had it for quite awhile and its casters are getting a little worn from use.

Everything I've ever bought at HF with casters ended up with the bearings falling out and replacement casters from Lowe's installed. FWIW, good casters aren't cheap.

Edit: except for one thing, a roll around tool cart, and it's threatening to fall over every time I move it around because the bearings fell out of the casters so now they flop over to one side.

Actually, just made this purchase at TSC. $59.99, and so far it works great.

Yep. I had a craftsman with the liftup head rest. The wheels kept rolling over the skin on my arm. Did that two or three times and I chunked it as far as I could across my backyard. I felt better but my arm didnt. I bought the Tractor Supply one and have not had any issues. I do use an old bed pillow doubled for neck support. My arms are happy now. Rolls great

Without a doubt...nothing better than a clean sheet of heavy duty cardboard!

I dunno about that, but I'm not sure what a $90 "magic creeper" does that isn't also accomplished by a free chunk of cardboard. I mean, it says you can use it on gravel, but sliding back and forth over some chunky rock can't feel good. It's not all that padded.

All I've got to say is you have to try it before you make an opinion about it.
You can't use any thing with wheels on dirt or gravel. But if the ground is really rocky you could put down anything as a base, like a towel, piece of carpet, cardboard and still use this item on top of it.
Nothing will give you more body clearance, except maybe going on a diet...

I've been lookin for a decent creeper since 1974. There are none, because layin on the ground is no fun. The "best" one I've found is a Snap On creeper I got probably about 1989 or so. The wheels have a lifetime warranty. Blew me away. My Snap On dealer came out to my house and replaced them free. Even still, it's an uncomfortable **** at times.
Interesting on the wheels warranty.
I just came here to ask exactly that for the creeper I have at work.
