The company I work for won the industrial cleaning contract at the PACCAR Engine Plant so I'm here for a couple of weeks helping them get started. They make diesel engines for Peterbuilt and Kenworth. Cool stuff.

Where’s the engine plant? The Seattle area is home to Paccar, the final assembly and tech center.

It's outside Columbus Mississippi.

Paccar is Peterbuilt and Kenworth .

I drew the short straw and got 3rd shift...I can't think straight, lol.

I don't think they make torsion bars big enough to put one of those in my Swinger

Got that right, see the torque numbers of that thing!!!

I had a chance to go work in their facility in Seattle years ago doing exterior body design, I didn't jump of the opportunity because they weren't able to give me a timeframe, specifically an end date. For all I know I could still be stuck out there had I took it!

Sounds like you made the right choice! I'm not in a glamorous job, but I love the freedom I have. I work from my home, but I'm generally only there one day a week. The other four days I'm visiting one of 10 locations to make sure the manager is doing their job. And sometimes I get to see a different plant like Paccar.

Yeah, I'll go back and edit. I'm working 3rd shift this week and it's kicking my ***!! Haven't done it in years.

I did a whole bunch of welding in their plant in Seattle area. May have been one of the coolest plants I ever worked in. We were traveling millwrights. I want to say they produced 33 trucks in a 24 hr day. This was in maybe early nineties? It was just a super cool plant.
