72 dart swinger frame rail crossmember extensions

Hey all
Replacing rear crossmember (see photo) and when ordering from AMD. There is a note that the crossmember “extensions” are not included..
for the life of me i dont see any extensions on my car. Perhaps
They rusted off long ago. I just dont want to waste fifty bucks if they are not needed
Can someone school me.
